Why Pinehurst

A Village Built for Craftsmanship

Pinehurst was founded in 1895, and the homes here have the stories to match. From the Tufts-era cottages in Old Town to the Donald Ross-era classics lining Linden Road, the architectural heritage of the Village of Pinehurst rewards contractors who slow down, read the details, and work with intent.

Transform NC is based in Moore County and we've done some of our most loved work inside the Pinehurst Historic District. We know what it takes to navigate the Village's architectural review process — and more importantly, we know how to restore a home in a way that honors what made it remarkable in the first place.

Our specialty is blending classic charm with modern efficiency: new plumbing, new electrical, spray-foam insulation, energy-efficient windows where appropriate — while protecting the heart-pine floors, the original trim profiles, and the details that can't be bought off a shelf.

Questions

Pinehurst Remodeling FAQ

Do you work on homes inside the Village of Pinehurst Historic District?

Yes. We have experience with the architectural review requirements of Pinehurst's historic district and carefully preserve original details while modernizing the parts of a home that should be modern — plumbing, electrical, insulation, and systems.

How do you approach pricing for a Pinehurst remodel?

We don't lead with a number — we lead with the outcome. Cost follows scope: replacing countertops is a very different project from a full kitchen redesign with wall removals, and we won't pretend otherwise. Our design process starts with understanding what you want to accomplish in your home, then works back from there to show you what it takes. If you have a budget in mind, we'll be direct about what's achievable within it.

Do you take on projects in Old Town Pinehurst?

Yes — Old Town Pinehurst is one of our favorite places to work. Our Historic Carriage House project is an example. The older homes in this area reward careful, detail-oriented craftsmanship, which is our specialty.

Are you a licensed general contractor in North Carolina?

Yes. Transform NC LLC is a licensed and insured general contractor based in Moore County, NC.
